How we handle personal data
If we have written to you and you want to know where we got your details, or you want us to stop, this page answers both. The short version is at the top.
If you want us to stop
Reply to any email from us with the word STOP, or write to abid@agentworth.co. We will not write again, and we keep a record of your address for the sole purpose of making sure we do not contact you by mistake later.
You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. We will do it, and we do not ask why.
Where our contact details came from
We did not buy a list. Our contact details for UK accountancy and company secretarial practices come from two public sources:
Companies House
The free public register: company name, number, registered address, incorporation date and accounts category.
The firm's own website
The business telephone number and business email address a firm publishes for enquiries, together with a short extract of its public site text.
We only record a firm where its own website confirms the match against its registered postcode or company number. We do not collect personal data about individuals outside their professional role, and we do not use special category data.
Why we are allowed to write to you
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR: offering a business service to a business that plausibly needs it, using contact details that business publishes for that purpose. We have weighed that against your interests, which is why we send few messages, stop after one follow-up, and stop immediately on request.
Because we did not collect your details from you directly, Article 14 requires that we tell you this the first time we make contact. That is what the last paragraph of our emails, and this page, are for.
Marketing calls are made only after screening the number against the Telephone Preference Service and the Corporate TPS, as required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
What we keep, and for how long
- The public business details above, plus a record of what we sent you and what you replied.
- Held while a firm is a live prospect, and reviewed at least annually. A firm that asks not to be contacted is kept only on our do-not-contact record.
- Stored in the EU and UK on Supabase and GitHub. Access is limited to the three people who run Agentworth.
- We do not sell or share your details with anyone, and we do not use them to train anything.
